It appears that we’re going to see at least one interesting ruling come to light when the case of Savana Redding actually gets decided upon. This girl was strip searched at her school (by two female employees) for being suspected of having prescription strength ibuprofen. I’m not real sure I’d be comfortable with my child being strip searched at a school without my being contacted and present. I’d prefer a law enforcement officer be present, along with myself. That’s just me.

Since I don’t have any older children (I’m a child myself hehe), I wonder what others think about it. Do you think it’s okay for a school to strip search your child looking for (of all damn things lol) Ibuprofen of any strength? Incidentally, she didn’t even have the pills to begin with, how is that for a kick in the groin? Jeez

I'd strip search that. *blinks*

    My daughters?

They can check their lockers any time. If they want to check the person, I had better be there and there had better be some pretty convincing evidence that she is carrying contraband. I like the school system we have around here, and I would really resent costing them money in a lawsuit, but if that were the only way to keep things from getting out of control, I would.

Strip searching a kid is way out of bounds. I’m with you – I’d want to be informed first and to have it handled by law enforcement officers with a lawyer on standby. I think if they had those standards, they’d be a little less eager to strip search a student for ibuprofen.

As a father of two daughters, they best be careful how they approach my girls.

The “Zero Tolerance” policies of today’s schools are insane and are enforced by idiots who are so unfit to be in charge that they should be prosecuted for ciminal stupidity.

1 – Why is asprin suddenly “contraband”?
2 – How in the world to they justified stripping an underaged girl without parental consent under any circumstance?
3 – If laws were broken, why wasn’t law enforcement officers, who are trained for these activities, present and making complete and accurate records.

Our schools are run by retarded monkeys who couldn’t train a cow to shit in the field.
